Within the Humanitarian care and orphan sponsorship program, MASRRAT is implementing a Medical Support Project , the project aims to provide the medical care to orphans and poor families in Turkey (Gaziantep) and Syria (Al-Bab and Soran).

During the project period, medical follow-up and surgical costs were provided to treat more than 213 urgent and critical medical cases, as following:

1- Congenital anomalies

2- Treatment of war injuries, including amputation and removal of shrapnel remains for orphaned children

3. Conducting plastic surgeries to restore the skin and some organs in the body for some orphaned children who were exposed to third-degree burns due to the chemical bombardment and help them to return to the normal life.

4- A long-term treatment for two orphaned girls with chronic pemphigus since three years ago until now , by providing medicines, medical dressings and home baths on a weekly basis.

5- Conducting therapeutic sessions (cognitive behavioral therapy and pharmacological intervention) for many orphaned children who have autism

6. Conducting successive psychological support sessions within SAMS Medical Organization centers, as well as the drug interactions to reach recovery for many mothers of orphans who suffering from mental and psychiatric illness.

7. Hearing aids (medical ear stethoscope) were provided to eight patients with congenital hearing loss, including six orphans and the rest are adults, and they were integrated into SAMS’s medical centers to rehabilitate their hearing and speech.

8. Providing seven patients infected with congenital visual impairment with eyeglasses, five of them are children and the rest are adults.

9. Medical follow-up for surgeries to treat the congenital deformities for jaw and face

10. Follow-up the physical therapy and motor rehabilitation for 13 orphaned children with congenital disabilities, as well as the war casualties.

11. Providing medical supplies and wheelchairs for the disabled who suffer from war amputations.

12. Nutritional follow-up of the mothers of orphans who suffer from chronic diseases such as diabetes, pressure, and obesity, where they were subjected to weekly monitoring for six months under the supervision of a nutritionist with provide all the necessities to reach to the ideal weights.

13. Periodic follow-ups and field visits to orphaned children, and their mothers with providing them the first aid by the medical team.

There are still many medical cases that need to  support and assistance .
