As part of our ongoing efforts to develop the agricultural sector and enhance food security in northwestern Syria, and within the framework of the project to reactivate local capacities in potato cultivation and seed multiplication, the Human Care and Development Foundation – Masrrat has established the Potato Seed Production Association in the town of Binnish in the Idlib countryside.
The 22 members of the association have been provided with the necessary administrative and organizational training for its operations. The training on management and marketing has been completed, and follow-up training on governance, finance, and logistical management will continue until September 18.
These trainings aim to organize institutional work within the association, thereby achieving sustainability in the local production of potato seed crops.
