A delegation from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) visited several farmers in the village of Qah on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. These farmers are beneficiaries of the “CSA” project, implemented by The Establishment for Human Care and Development – MASRRAT, and funded by the Syria Cross-border Humanitarian Fund (SCHF).

The project supports greenhouse farming in the Dana subdistrict (including Atmeh, Qah, Aqrabat, Salwah, and Tal Addah) and involves the rehabilitation of irrigation canals in the Armanaz subdistrict (Al-Rouj Plain).

During the visit, the delegation listened to the farmers’ experiences regarding the impact of the support on improving agricultural production and their living conditions. The delegation then headed to Al-Rouj Plain, where they conducted a field tour of the rehabilitated irrigation canals and observed the positive impact of these efforts in enhancing irrigation efficiency and serving large areas of farmland.

The delegation members expressed their appreciation for Masarat’s efforts in supporting the agricultural sector and emphasized the importance of continuing to strengthen the resilience of local communities in the face of ongoing challenges.
