As a part of the project to support the capabilities of the local community in Idlib governorate, funded by the Norwegian People Aid, The Establishment for Human Care and Development – MASRRAT, established the Khayrat Al-Mouna Food Manufacturing Association in the town of Maarat Tamsrin. Twenty women, who are the breadwinners of their families, were selected to work in the association. The women were provided with a range of training sessions, including governance, marketing, accounting, supply chain, and management principles. The association was equipped with complete manufacturing equipment, in addition to the necessary raw materials for manufacturing. The association produced a variety of products, including jams, pickles, pomegranate molasses, olives, pepper paste, chili, makdous, dairy products, in addition to pastries.
