Early Recovery

Within the Early Recovery Sector, The Establishment for Human Care and Development – MASRRAT is implementing several projects to support areas in northwest of Syria. As MASRRAT implemented cash-for-work projects mainly to motivate young people in those areas to improve the reality of their areas, and secure them with temporary jobs with an acceptable salary that would help them survive.

Road Rehabilitation Projects

Within the road rehabilitation projects, MASRRAT, through its cash-for-work projects, secures jobs for a number of male workers to work on the rehabilitation of the roads in the villages (primarily agricultural roads), so that moving on these roads becomes easier, especially for farmers who were suffering from difficulty in reaching their farms and following up on their work in the winter. In winter, the roads were muddy, difficult to pass by. The work in the rehabilitation of the roads is divided into two parts, manual and mechanical. Two types of restoration are also carried out, without asphalting and asphalting, where the mechanisms transport the materials needed for the rehabilitation of the roads, and the workers spread and level them and spray binding materials (MC0) to make them steady. The mechanisms also spread asphalt and compress it on some roads.

Manufacture and distribution of masks

Within the Early Recovery Sector, MASRRAT implemented a cash-for-work project to manufacture fabric reusable masks, where 20 women were employed in this activity and were trained on sewing principles by two trainers, where 150,000 fabric reusable masks were manufactured and distributed to civilians in the area to protect themselves from the risk of contracting corona pandemic at these times. A workshop with sewing machines was rented, and the necessary fabrics and threads were secured, and work continued for 5 consecutive months in the workshop.
