As part of the project to enhance the resilience and market economy of local communities by mitigating the effects of climate change and improving infrastructure in northwestern Syria funded by the Syrian Cross-Border Humanitarian Fund (SCHF), the Establishment for Human Care and Development (MASRRAT) completed the rehabilitation of four agricultural roads in Maarat Tamsrin sub-district, totaling 9.9 km in length. This intervention aimed to improve access for local farmers to their fields and markets during the winter.
The process involved several steps: initial scraping, leveling, compaction, layering with 25 cm of compressed large stones, followed by 25 cm of compressed small gravel. This was followed by spraying a layer of liquid asphalt (MC0), adding a layer of very small gravel, and then compacting it.
