In collaboration between MASRRAT Foundation for Human Care and Development and the Agricultural Extension Department of the Idlib Agriculture Directorate,
A three-day agricultural training workshop on organic farming was held. The workshop discussed the significant importance of organic farming in obtaining healthy and safe food, as well as farmers’ experiences in transitioning to organic agriculture. Additionally, a field day was conducted on the production of organic compost and organic insect-repellent solutions.
The workshop was attended by a number of academics, engineers, and agricultural experts from the governorates of Aleppo and Idlib, as well as the Association for Organic Farming, as well MASRRAT team.
The workshop aimed to improve agricultural and health conditions through proper farming practices, raising farmers’ awareness, and empowering them, which contributes to enhancing local food security.
