MASRRAT institution and with support from FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization), lunched the project of “Supporting emergency and basic needs in the agriculture sector between the period of 2017-2020” within the activities of Food Security and Livelihood Program.
The project supports 1095 families in Aleppo rural in Atareb and Zarbah sub district within nine villages (Jeineh, Kafr Thoran, Abin Samaan, Kafr Amma, Barqum, Jeb Kas, Sheikh Ahmed, Qasinia and Tal Heddiye.
The project includes two main activities:
1- Supporting livestock by distributing 4875 chickens and 750 roosters. Each family will receive 13 chicken, two roosters and 150 KG of feed, in addition to providing trainings to the beneficiaries on how to raise poultry.
2- Distribution of 720 summer vegetables kits as following:
– Distribution of 360 vegetable kits for home garden (10 meters square) to the displaced families.
– Distribution of 360 vegetable kits to plant a land of 100 meters square to the local community. Also, trainings will be provided to beneficiaries on the best practices and methods in agriculture.
